7-YEAR-OLD ADVIK UMESH BHAMMARKAR SETS NOBLE WORLD RECORDS AS YOUNGEST TO COMPLETE BLINDFOLDED RAPPELLING FROM 155 FEET



Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu – In a stunning display of courage and skill, Advik Umesh Bhammarkar, a 7-year-old adventure enthusiast and student of Gitanjali Primary School, Hyderabad, Telangana, etched his name into the Noble World Records by becoming the youngest rock climber to successfully perform a blindfolded rappelling descent from a height of 155 feet.

The feat was accomplished on June 15, 2025, at the Malaipattu Mountain in Manimangalam, located in Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu. Advik, the son of Dr. Umesh, Vitroretinal Surgeon & Dr Sarika female Urologist from Hyderabad, Telangana demonstrated remarkable composure, focus, and courage, descending without visual cues, while secured by full belay rope support. The blindfolded descent significantly amplified the physical and mental challenge, demanding not just training, but tremendous inner discipline.

The entire event was conducted under the expert supervision and safety protocols of the Tamil Nadu Mountaineering Association, which ensured that all high-altitude rope activity standards were strictly followed.
